The smaller capsules are easy to swallow, which is why I chose this particular product. Also has the right amount of daily calcium, which I split up among two meals. And the price was right!

Way overpriced now!
3 or even 2 years ago I was able to get this calcium supplement at the Vitamin Shoppe for $7.99 for 100 liquid gels which may have been on sale but the normal price was nowhere near the over inlated price VS is charging now!! Due to the dubious ingredients of titanium dioxide which is used in cheap prmaceuticals (like tylenol etc.) and soybean oil (probably GMO) and rather large capsules and being way overpriced I do not reccomend this product!!

This calcium product works very well, and is a great value.
I take this twice a day and have for a number of years. Whenever I have blood work done my calcium level is always within the proper range. As I am over sixty-five, I believe that is important to maintain the proper level, and this product helps to do that. This product is a very good value for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Too big to swallow
It doesn't matter that it's a softgel if it won't fit in your throat! I have looked for other types of calcium without magnesium and come up empty. I need calcium because I don't eat dairy.

Reasonably priced
Remember, if you are prescribed "elemental" calcium by your doctor, calcium carbonate is only 40% elemental. So if you are required to take 1200mg of elemental calcium, each 1000mg capsule contains 400mg of elemental calcium so you would need to take 3/1000mg capsules to get your 1200mg of elemental calcium.

  No vitamin C. Yes to Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol) 400 IU. I'm not sure if cholecalciferol is D3 or not.You should be able to see all the ingredients on the website, I think.

If I only take one capsule will I get 1,000 mgs?

  Yes. However I take 2 daily. My reasons are as follows, I’m at a senior age where calcium is a must. I’ve been taking this calcium regiment for over 25 years. When I have taken my bone scans my bones are heathy and strong. Being I am a Polio survivor I think that is pretty darn great.

why would 300 soft gels cost 19.99 and also 24.99 for the same dosage and amount of pills? I'm confused!

  The higher priced formula is a 2 softgel serving for 1000mg of calcium. The lower priced item would be 1000mg of calcium for a 4 softgel serving size. This is the key difference between the two supplements.

  If you look at the labels of both products carefully, you will notice that one says the serving size is 4 mini pills per day at $19.99 and the other says 2 pills per day at $24.99. So, 1000mg in either 2 or 4 pills. I guess their thoughts is less and bigger is worth more than more and smaller. I hope this helps.
