Why does this product need a rest period and do you take one? How long should the rest period be?

Best Answer:  Yes, you should only take echinacea while you have an immune system issue (cold, infection etc). Then don't take it when symptoms are gone.
It works better when taken when there is the beginning of an illness or some symptoms of infection.

Best Answer:  Depends on what you believe. Some say a rest period. But, I have been taking this consistently for quite sometime since I need, and prefer something natural for allergies and I am doing great! 30 days is rest period from what I have researched through the years. I take nothing in Rx. I refuse! I have used herbs for over 40 years.
