How does Vitamin K2 help with osteoporosis?

Best Answer:  As best I understand, K2 tells your body where to put the calcium. Without enough K2 in your body, the calcium may go into your arteries instead of your bones, which is not such a good thing! It is important to read the label and be sure you are getting K2 and not just K1. K1 helps with blood clotting and that is not what you are looking for. It is common to be deficient in K2 with our modern diets. Also have your Doctor check your vitamin D level. You may also need a supplement for that.

Best Answer:  I take K2, along with D3, so that calcium can be utilized by my bones. Without the addition of those two, supplemented calcium goes to other unwanted places like the artieries. I've only heard of K2 being used in conjunction with calcium, and never as a replacement for aspirin, but I'm not a professional.
