VS Omega - 3 is the best on the market.
I'm a former VS store manager in midtown Manhattan, NYC and have been taking this Omega-3 since 2003. Stored in a cool, dark closet, each bottle should be top quality. If not, bring it to the nearest store and you should have no issue getting a refund or exchange.
Not a huge fan of fish oil taste, so I take a swig of any flavor fruit juice, break the capsule in my mouth and swallow. ZERO after taste!

My Go-To for Years!
Capsules may seem a bit large, but I find them easy to swallow. No aftertaste, pair them with garlic, and the price is always reasonable.

this bottle of OMEGA -3 fish oil is BAD
This batch of Omega -3 fish oil is terrible, it's almost like they are RANCID, you are bleching up with a terrible taste and odor in your mouth, in maybe 15 minutes after taking. The 1st bottle that I got last year did not do this. I will find a different manufacture / supplier

Spoiled 240 Capsule Big Bottle
I bought this big 240 capsule bottle of Omega Three Fish Oil in January 2024. After 4 months, in May, many of the capsules have dark spots inside the capsules. With over half the bottle left and the expiration date still over a year away, in June 2025, I thought sure the Vitamin Shoppe would give me a refund or store credit, at least. Apparently, the returns policy has a ridiculously narrow time limit of 1 month from the date of purchase, no matter what the expiration date, size of the product, or any other significant factors. With such a silly return policy, such large bottles should not be sold. The Vitamin Shoppe should only produce small bottles of no more than 60 capsules, which would be unlikely to expire in the 30 days after purchase.

Highly recommended
A psychiatrist and the neuropsychologist team treating us for a car accident TBI increased the fish oil beyond what we were already taking, and the neuropsychologist subscribes to a paying pharmaceuticals and medication website with extensive information. Between his experience and what the research and consumer research reported, the most effective fish oil was something with equal levels of the two ingredients and this product was the closest we could find to both levels being the same at a good price. We've been pretty happy with it and have been buying it for a while.

Best Answer:  The bottle only says "gelatin"..I believe that most commercail gelatin is derived from beef trimmings, but this is only my opinion. I have no solid basis for my answer
