Best Answer:  This product acts as a meal replacer. If your trying to gain and maintain weight, this is a good product to use. I regularly still eat my breakfast and dinner, and use this as a bedtime snack just because you gain more if eating before bed. It taste the best with milk, but I warn you to ease into it, because it is so thick, you may wanna only start using one scoop the first few days. I also use more milk than recommended on the package just to thin out the mixture. To forewarn you with this item, it is very sticky and does not mix well by hand so be sure to clean your blender thoroughly, especially around the blades. As far as supplements after lifting, I would recommend using WHEY Protein powder and drink a serving of it after lifting. The best thing to do is eat/mix it with peanut butter and ice cream. Look at the nutrition facts on a jar of peanut butter and you'll be surprised how much protein is in a single serving. Just load on proteins to build muscle; eggs, baked chicken, etc. I hope this helps.

More specifically, it's meant for people who have trouble putting on weight (hard-gainers), you know those skinny guys, like myself, who eat and eat, and eat just as much ,or more, than every other normal person, but it still doesn't show when they step on the scale.

Serious Mass is a supplement, not a replacement, for meals. Which means, it's meant to be taken in between your normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals. The idea is, you are basically doubling the amount of calories you would normally take in one day.

At 5'10" and 188 pounds, it sounds like your body already has good mass. And, at 16 years of age, your body is still growing and gaining on it's own just fine without the need of a supplement like Serious Mass. Trust me, you are lucky to have a good foundation to start from.

If I were you, I would just maintain whatever food intake you are already consuming and add something like a whey protein shake directly after your workouts. Protein is absolutely the most important nutrient for muscle growth.

Supplements can be a big help, but more importantly, your muscle mass will mostly depend on how much and how often you lift weights. But, again, at 16, there's no rush, let nature take its course, your potential will only get higher.

Best Answer:  Both my teenage sons weight lift and have been using Serious Mass for the last year. They seem to really like it and have never mentioned anything negative. However, I can not answer if it works as suggested because the recommended serving would never fit in the blender (the scoop it twice the size of a normal one) and you're suppose to use 2 scoops. They use 1/2 at best as a post workout drink.
I like it because all my boys are active and it makes a perfect supplement to their diet and you can't beat the price!
