Superior to RL-Lipoic Acid
I've got to admit, I was extremely skeptical about the much higher price point of this item compared to racemic lipoic acid. I had bought a competitor's lipoic acid, and it worked pretty well. But this stuff is even better! Unlike racemic lipoic acid, it doesn't make my urine smell bad. I use it with NAC and glycinate to help with shortness of breath due to asthma, and it helps decrease it dramatically more than when I'd take even 2 or 3 doses of the racemic type. If I take 2 or 3 doses of this, it's nearly gone!

I wish this stuff weren't so expensive, but it's pretty great. It does exactly what I need it to!

Is there a difference between "R-Lipoic Acid" and "R-Alpha Lipoid Acid"?

Best Answer:  R-lipoic is the natural and preferred form by the body.. more bio-available.. regular alpha lipoic is not the most bio-available form and I may be wrong but it is possibly synthetic.
