  First, why do you want to take methyl folate, 5000 mcg?My Doc who is an ARNP prescribed it for the severe spasms and cramps in my legs. I tried the low-dose form available without a prescription, but did not have any results. I bought the quite expensive 5-MTHF he had prescribed and worked up to taking 10 mg every morning and it has helped somewhat. Unfortunately the high dose is not available at Vitamin Shoppe. The brand is Thorne Research in Idaho. It is -- for sixty 5 mg capsules. A bottle lasts a month at 10 mg a day. Good luck!

  I have been taking Jarrow Formula Methyl B-12 5000 Mcg, Metoprolol and Lipitor daily for several years. I have had no problems. I think Jarrow is a good brand. I have been buying it from Vitamin Shoppe. Of course, I am not a medical professional. If you are concernd, you should ask your doctor.

  You need to check with a qualified holistic health practitioner. I don't know about interactions with drugs. Methyl B-12 is was a good product for me, yet might not be for you.

  Not a doctor but I don't see any problem taking this vitamin B. My father takes many more bp meds and others and he takes this vitamin B and is fine.

  It's a lozenge -- place on your tongue and let it dissolve. The theory is that the B12 can be absorbed through the blood vessels of the tongue and jaw without being destroyed by stomach enzymes and acidity if it were to be swallowed.

  It is a chewable and my doctor did not specify anything about how I took it. My doctor is a homeopathic MD. You might check with one in your area if you are unsure.
