More commonly known as St. John's Wort, Hypericum perforatum is a gorgeous yellow plant that has been used for centuries—even as far back as ancient Greece—to support mood regulation. St. John's Wort contains hypericin, hyperforin, and flavonoids that may bolster the availability of neurotransmitters in the brain to promote a balanced mood.

To bolster your mood when you're feeling less than your best, add The Vitamin Shoppe® brand St. John's Wort Extract to your daily routine.

Directions

Take one (1) vegetable capsule up to three (3) times daily, preferably with meals.

Warning

Do not use St. John's Wort if you are pregnant, nursing or taking anti-depressants, HIV protease inhibitors (such as Indinavir) or drugs to prevent organ transplant rejection (such as Cyclosporine). Consult your physician before use if you are taking oral contraceptives, anticoagulant medication (such as Warfarin), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or any other medication. Limit exposure to sun and other source of ultraviolet light. Stop use and ask a doctor if you develop a rash. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children. Tamper evident. Do not use if outer seal is broken or missing.

How long can you stay on St Johns Wort? Have had really good results with it and
would like to stay on it. I started out with 3 a day for 2 weeks and then 2 a day
for 2 weeks. Can I stay on 2 a day or go down to 1 a day. It has really helped my
stress factor at work.
