Vitamin C—AKA ascorbic acid—is just that: acidic. When something is highly acidic, it can cause stomach discomfort. Added calcium reduces or "buffers" the natural acidity of vitamin C, making it a little gentler on your GI tract.

Love it

Love this product. Adding to my protein shakes works great, and it doesn't have a tangy / citrus taste like vitamin c powder has. WHY is this powder being discontinued??

Good product! No bad when prepared correctly

I put it in a water bottle with water and stevia. I shake it up and bad taste is gone and dissolves well.

Worth It

This stuff stinks and MIX WITH JUICE because its taste nasty AF in water lol I wish that it had a measuring spoon because trying to get the exact dosage is a problem using a regular teaspoon best to invest in measuring spoons
A must have especially if you smoke cigarettes (best to quit) may not be not a cure but this helps with the healing from the inside out

Maybe it would mix with boiling water?

I am very disappointed with this product. It simply will not mix with a spoon in any cold or room temperature liquid. I've put in blender to mix, which works, but even then the product imparts a very noticeable, extremely bitter taste to the liquid even at 1 tsp per 8oz. Even with fruit juices the disgusting taste comes through.

Good Product

I have used it daily for years, in water or a bit of juice. It's easy to digest & most the time it stirs up well. It doesn't taste great but it doesn't taste nasty either! It's nice that I can add more or less powder as needed.

Maltodextrin???

So why does it contain Maltodextrin? This kept me from buying it. Pity because everything else is very good.

Maybe they use it as a dispersing agent. I don't mind, because I mix it 4 parts malto to 1 part whey protein for my sports drink. It gets lost there, but I still want the C. Have you tried the non-buffered? VS-1018.
