Evening Primrose is a flowering plant native to the temperate and subtropical regions of North America. It's a natural source of linoleic acid (LA) and gamma linoleic acid (GLA). These omega-6 fatty acids are known to support healthy skin and mild PMS-related discomfort in women.

The Vitamin Shoppe® brand Evening Primrose Oil features 76mg of GLA and 544mg of LA per each once-daily softgel.

Directions

Take one (1) softgel up to twice daily, preferably with meals.

Best Answer:  The Vitamin Shoppe is very diligent about testing each lot of all of our raw materials for identity, purity, strength, composition, and contaminants before they can be used in the manufacturing of a Vitamin Shoppe brand supplement. Our finished products undergo microbiological analysis, heavy metal testing, and where applicable pesticide testing using the most current methods established by the Association of Analytical Communities (AOAC). Where internationally recognized standards set forth by the AOAC are not available, we utilize United States Pharmacopeia (USP) methods or methods validated internally by our manufacturers. Finished products are also tested at random by FDA audited, independent third-party laboratories to ensure that label claims are being met.
