Best Answer: Hyper- means "more than is considered normal".
Hypo- means "less".
Make sure you know which condition you have.
This product is for low thyroid function.
The package says:
"Providing gladular support for the symptoms of:
- Low Energy
- Low Metabolism
- Cold Hands & Feet
- Melancholy
- Restlessness"
This product is intended to help a low-functioning (hypo-) thyroid to function at its normal level.
If you have an already over-functioning thyroid, this product might make such hyper-thyroid even more hyper.

( not together about a half hour apart) It is and has worked wonderful for me. I was once on 300mg a day of synthroid before starting the thyroid support. because my synthroid was not working.
