taking 2 per a.m. GREATLY REDUCED allergic skin rashes that would crack and weep and bleed, had them since birth. now lotion on a few dime sized dry patches, and my dose of vitamin d with k3 and magnesium.

Why does this have Calcium Carbonate in it? This is not an easily absorbable form of calcium, is it? Why is it needed with this combination?

Best Answer:  I am no expert but I would guess that Calcium Carbonate was added instead of Calcium Citrate to save on cost since Ca is not a major component of this supplement. Trace amounts of Ca are necessary for the human body to effectively absorb both K2 and D3 so some form of Ca should be included in this sort of supplement unless it is taken with high calcium foods like dairy.

Vitamin Shoppe please clarify. This bottle says ONE (1) capsule is a serving of 2500 IU. Then WHY do the directions say take 1 capsule twice daily?? That is an error on the directions. If there is indeed 2500 IU in ONE capsule, PLEASE FIX THE INSTRUCTIONS. It’s extremely misleading.
