I read the entire label on the bottle I have. However, gluten is a protein found in wheat and related grains. My guess is that this is gluten free but you better check with an expert.

  This vitamin does not contain gluten. Gluten is only natural to wheat grain.

  If you're that paranoid about animal by-products then don't take them. Your vegan diet theoretically should meet your nutritional needs. My brother has been a vegan for 20 years & doesn't worry himself about such trivial things.

  Sorry I am not a vegan. All I know is when I miss a day of taking these vitamins I know it. I am tired and sluggish. These vitamins are excellent! They really energize me!

  I have been told by Customer Service at Nature's Way that this product (Alive! Whole Food Energizer Multivitamin-Max Potency-Iron Free) contains NO soy. However, some of their other products may contain soy but it would also be listed on the label. Hope this helps.

  Too much iron is not good, especially for men. There’s increasing evidence from population, genetic, lab and animal studies that iron accumulation over the years may contribute to conditions such as atherosclerosis and diabetes, and that iron may speed up the aging process in general. Iron can be toxic to the nervous system and has been linked to a variety of neurological conditions, from strokes to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. We should get enough iron from our diet and should not need it in our vitamin supplements unless a doctor finds that we are iron deficient.

  Men usually don't need iron. Neither do menopausal women. Iron stores up in your body and needs an outlet such as giving blood.

  I have been using this product for two years now but I can't tell a difference in my skin. You should drink plenty of water maybe you will see your skin improving.

  It is an all-around good multivitamin, however, the pill is LARGE and hard to swallow!
