Item should be a capsule, instead of a large, hard tablet...then it wouldn't have gotten stuck in my windpipe for 8 hrs. Beta Sitosterol can be used for cardiovascular health, but this stuff has calcium added to it for some reason. People with hardened arteries don't need/want the calcium.

Does not work for me.
This caused severe side effects so I stopped taking after about 4 days. Side effects went away.

Full of fillers
I wanted to buy this product until I saw the fillers; magnesium stearate, stearic acid, and microcrystaline cellulose. They have a negative impact on my urinary tract and digestion.

Used to work great for my enlarged prostate, no more!!
Was terrific until they cheaper out and drastically reduced the mgs of the main ingredients!!! Totally WORTHLESS now!!! Thanks, Vitamin Shoppe!!! THANKS!!!!

Seeing Results
Although I have not been diagnosed by my doctor, all of the symptomps were there. Slow stream, burning, urge to urinate every five minutes, sleepless nights and feeling a dull pain in the prostate area. After doing a little reading up on the internet, decided to try Beta Sitosterol and purchased this very brand from the Vitamin Shoppe. I went a step further and bough some Pygeum Extract and Saw Palmetto Berries, all which have shown to offer relief in studies that have been done. I did not want to buy any of the fancy-shmancy prostate formulas -- I wanted to buy the separate supplements that are known to make a difference. Approximately 12 hours after taking these three, symptoms are 99% gone and I'm feeling like myself again. They kicked in after a painful, bathroom-ridden evening at about 12 o'clock. Slept like a baby from 12am to 7:30 and do not recall getting up even once. Normally, I would have gotten up 7 times--that's how bad it was. Just into the first day with these three supplements and I'll report back in some time on how they are working.

Effective, but...
It works for me in helping lower bad Lipid #'s and better urine flow with somewhat less urgency.
Still, at roughly double the price over the last year, you're pushing it...

Do you know if this product cause stomach or gastro issues?

Best Answer:  I've been using this product for about 4 months and have never experienced any issues related to the stomach.

It workd very well with the side benefit of shrinking the prostate so with continued use it only gets better.

I use two a day one in the morning and one at night and have no problems urinating.

Best Answer:  For prostate issues. My physician recommended taking it for 3 months to fairly evaluate any improvements in common symptoms. There were no noticeable changes so I discontinued the product. It is worth a short trial as it does help some men.

Best Answer:  The product label recommends taking 1 tablet daily, with a meal. However, I take 2 tablets twice daily to help shrink an enlarged prostate. Research has recommended Beta Sitosterol in larger doses to help with enlarged prostate problems.

Best Answer:  Oblong shape, perhaps 1/2” long and coated, making it easy to swallow. This tablet can be crushed if desired. This info coming from a retired dual healthcare provider, one of them as a pharmacist. I have been using & recommending the product for many years.
