Healthy Blood contains vitamins B6, B12, and C, as well as probiotics and enzymes, which are all fine supplements for a male. However, men do not typically need extra iron in their diets, since they do not have blood loss due to menstruation as women do. Garden of Life Healthy Blood contains 28 mg of whole food iron; a man only needs between 8-10 mg per day. So, you may be getting too much iron if you take this supplement. And, because men absorb iron quite easily from foods containing iron (meat, spinach, potatoes, bran cereal), they typically don't need an iron supplement anyhow. There can be side effects of too much iron in a man's diet. Please ask your doctor or health care provider before taking this supplement. You may want to look at Garden of Life B vitamins instead.

  I don't think so. I took this while pregnant to try and get my hemoglobin up and it didn't help at all. In the end I foraged some wild stinging nettles, (which grow just about every where) dehydrated them, ground them up and put the powder into capsules. With in 2 weeks or less my hemoglobin was normal. So I've pretty much lost faith in store bought supplement even if they say raw. The nettles worked and were free! Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

  It isn't a good idea to supplement iron if you don't need it, and men generally don't especially if you are eating red meat or dairy. Too much iron is toxic unless you give blood regularly. If you do need iron, this would pair well with vitamin C, as the absorption will be better.

  Dear Sarah, I always take Healthy Blood and Raw B-complex together. The best thing you can do, anyway, is to try ... just start with 1 of Helthy Blod and Raw B-Complex and than increase to the maximun apport suggested ... and the most important thing to remember is to observe constantly how you feel throughout the entire day and moving accordingly to it ... wish you the best

  I am not a medical doctor or professional. Personally, I have been taking both for over 10 years with no problems. I also take their Raw E daily. Too much iron in your body can be toxic to your liver, so I would definitely let your medical team know you are taking this supplement.

  No, it doesnt. There is another vitamin called "Heart Miracle", by Century Systems, that has a lot of good nutrients that are better for the heart. It comes in a 32 oz bottle. It is a liquid vitamin that is also available at the Vitamin Shoppe.

  It has not helped my blood pressure so far.
