Raw Protein does not have the chalky consistency that some powders do; it is smooth and quite pleasant tasting. I add it to smoothies. I have not experienced any difficulties with any of Garden of Life's products where upset stomach or bowels are concerned. Not even with their detox fiber.

  it tastes kind of nutty/soy like. It's hard to describe. I think it tastes good. I like it in apple juice, but have also mixed it in oatmeal and other smoothies. i have not had any stomach issues or side effects, but I don't have any food sensitivities.

  It really doesn't have much flavor to it. It goes well with cereal. I haven't had any adverse side effects. It really makes you feel better. You will notice the difference.

  Not sure what resource is advising alpha- tocopherol is from soy; because that is not the only source - it is from many different sources - in this case there is no soy in Garden of Life Raw Protein - Soy is not listed on the label as the source - And unfortunately - some products will mislead and advise that a product is organic - which does not mean non GMO - these 2 distinctions are not mutually exclusive. I too am chemical sensitive and chose this product for that reason. Have used for over 2 years. If still concerned - go to Garden of Life web site - to review and e-mail concerns. Have run a health food store for 16 years and am well educated in this area -

  I can't speak for Garden of Life, but the product says;
"Non-GMO verified" so I assume it is. I eat RED PALM OIL, which I understand is a product with mixed tocopherols, and raw protein says mixed tocopherols, so perhaps THIS is their source of Vitamin E. On the other hand, they also list Natto, which I believe is fermented soy. I also must be careful of pesticides, and I have no problem with the product, but I can't speak to how you would do on it. I use and trust Garden of Life products, and it says USDA organic, so I believe it is.

  Garden of Life guarantees only the finest and healthiest ingredients in their products. Genetically modified foods are never used. Their website for Garden of Life should answer any concerns regarding their ingredients.

  Perhaps the better source for a definitive answer is the producer--GArden of Life, not Vitamin Shoppe or its customers.

  I have made smoothies with fruit in with the raw protein. but I mostly make my smoothies with the raw protein, and raw green powder with yogurt and water. Its faster for me and not so much sugar.

  It's very good mixed with frozen or fresh fruit in the blender. It is however, quite rich and very filling!

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I do feel that I need to supplement my breakfast with protein. I've tried several Protien products and Raw Protien seems to fit me the best. I add two tsp to my hot oatmeal every morning. It tastes good and it blends easily without masking the oatmeal flavor. I can tell it is working because I feel satisfied for about 4 hours. It's gluten free, soy free, dairy free and contains all natural products. I don't see why you can't give it to your children.

  Take the product to the child's pediatrician and see what they say. It's probably not recommended for kids because most supplements are not regulated by the FDA.
