I have been trying to get the answer to the following question by phone calls to custom service. I got called back several times; but each time the caller said he needed more time to dig out the information. Why is it so hard to get this simple answer? Is Vitamin Shoppe uncomfortable to answer this question?

What is the source of these amino acids?
The bottle used to say they are from Ajinomoto, a Japanese company.
But the bottle does not say that anymore.
Where are the amino acids made now?
