Is this product safe for children? Mine are ages 8, 11, 16. I am looking for something they can drink in the morning, since they are not big breakfast kids. I would like something with great nutrition for them!

Best Answer:  It is safe and would be a great drink together with milk for children in the morning. Needs to be shaken or run thru a blender with a cube of ice. Also can mix fruit with it if you use a blender.

How effective is this for weight loss?

Best Answer:  I have been using Spiru-tein Vanilla powder for over 15 years. I use it instead of a vitamin pill - one cup of powder mixed with soy milk, orange juice and lo-fat organic plain yougurt is the most delicious thing I have on a daily basis.
I have this for breakfast and eat regular meals for lunch and dinner. I do not use it as a means of dieting, but as a powerful supplement of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. I have neither gained nor lost weight from consuming this breakfast shake. If I feel I've put on a few pounds from overeating, I cut back on high calorie foods, but not the 1 cup of powder per day.

I have been using Spiru-tein for years - either Vanilla or Chocolate. I think the vanilla is really great mixed with banana!

Best Answer:  I believe it is. There is a "K" symbol by the net weight information at the bottom of the label. You can't see it on the picture, but it is on my cans. It is also gluten free and uses non-gmo natural soy. I love this product.

Will this product help with weight loss? I currently use another product and am looking for something comparable that is more affordable.

Best Answer:  There is a disclaimer on the back of the can that says this product should not be used as the sole source of calories. I usually use it to replace one meal. I mix it in the blender with light soy milk and a couple of frozen strawberries/blueberries . It is delicious and I have been using it since my personal trainer recommended it over 15 years ago.

Can this product be a substitution for Whey protein? I have an intense muscle workout regiment, therefore my question is can plant protein be as beneficial as Whey protein for muscle recovery?

Best Answer:  For me, I use spiru tein almost daily, but do not feel it is a good protein substitute for Whey, plus the spiru tein has quite abit of sugar. Suggest you compare the labels online with this site.
