It is safe and would be a great drink together with milk for children in the morning. Needs to be shaken or run thru a blender with a cube of ice. Also can mix fruit with it if you use a blender.

  I would say this is a mistake in the writing of the description. The label specifies "NON-GMO Natural Soy: SPIRU-TEIN is scientifically formulated with isolated soy protein from only non-genetically modified (non-GMO) soybeans--As Nature Intended."

  I have been using Spiru-tein Vanilla powder for over 15 years. I use it instead of a vitamin pill - one cup of powder mixed with soy milk, orange juice and lo-fat organic plain yougurt is the most delicious thing I have on a daily basis.
I have this for breakfast and eat regular meals for lunch and dinner. I do not use it as a means of dieting, but as a powerful supplement of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. I have neither gained nor lost weight from consuming this breakfast shake. If I feel I've put on a few pounds from overeating, I cut back on high calorie foods, but not the 1 cup of powder per day.

  I've used Spiru-Tein for over 10 years every morning around 10:00. I mix in the blender whole milk, frozen strawberries and yogurt. It does satisfy any hungry pains. I would feel panicked to find something to eat until I do. Never have any desire to eat between meals. I'm 70 and feeling very blessed for my health and my desired weight. I have weighed 140 for all of the past 10 years. I do walk each day....but the drink is a must!!!!!

  If you use this in place of a meal or a portion of a meal, it really helps. Since with skim milk it contains and ton of protean, it is satisfying and reduces hunger.

  I believe it is. There is a "K" symbol by the net weight information at the bottom of the label. You can't see it on the picture, but it is on my cans. It is also gluten free and uses non-gmo natural soy. I love this product.

  It would depend on your adherence to the law. I don't see any dietary restriction right off the bat, but there is no way to establish if it was prepared by a non-jew. There is no mention of supervision during the production.

  Spiru-Tein is vegetarian, yeast free product, non GMO. But reading from the container it does not state Kosher product. If it does NOT say it is a Kosher product, I don't believe it is.

  While it says it's based on plant proteins, I can't find parve anywhere on the label. I mix mine with juice or crystal light to be sure. Or you can go to the manufacturer's web site.

  It does not say on the Spiru-tein protein powder can but if Vitamin Shoppe doesn't know I would send an email to Nature's Plus and ask them. It is non-GMO and yeast free.

  There is a disclaimer on the back of the can that says this product should not be used as the sole source of calories. I usually use it to replace one meal. I mix it in the blender with light soy milk and a couple of frozen strawberries/blueberries . It is delicious and I have been using it since my personal trainer recommended it over 15 years ago.

  As a meal replacement it should help, depending on what you're mixing it with. I used V8 splash(diet) berry splash and for the month and a half I used it saw good results

  I do use Spirutein to help control my weight, since I find it is good protein & satisfying

  I use this as a meal replacement and it works well. No in between meals are necessary.

  For me, I use spiru tein almost daily, but do not feel it is a good protein substitute for Whey, plus the spiru tein has quite abit of sugar. Suggest you compare the labels online with this site.
