According to information sent from George's Aloe, this is their statement..."George's AloeVera Distillate, Topical care and Personal Care products Do NOt contain Anthraquinones Such as Aloin and Barbaloin which are found in the LATEX LAYER of the Aloe Plant . I love this product and will not be without it. Does not need refrigeration, but that is where I like mine, I like cold drinks.
Even when I feel a bit of indigestion from something I ate earlier, I will drink a few onces of George's Alor Drink and shortly will be relieved. And it does tast like pure good water. You might go to their web site for more information

  No George's aloe does NOT contain aloe latex! The latex is in the outer leaf and George's only uses the gel! I hope this helps, my entire family and I use George's aloe and have for years! We love it.

  I am not for sure...but the label does not state that. My health store suggested this brand after I had had colon surgery. It is like drinking distilled water and seems to be very helpful for my health. Label says it is fractionally distilled liquid from Aloe Vera leaves. George's since 1979 "always Active" Aloe. Bitter free, No unpleasant taste, no preservatives, no additives. It is one of the better tasting aloes to me. Results with colon has been good. I had 18 in of colon removed, afterwards is when my nutritionist at health food store advised me to buy this item. I also like the fact it doesn't need to be refrigerated.

  There are no side effects. It's a great tummy soother for indigestion or any other digestive upsets.

  I think it would be safe to use on your skin and hair but just not sure it would be the best product for either use since it's formulated to drink. You could certainly try it and see if it works. I have no idea how it would affect hair but it would be an interesting experiment and you could always wash and condition it again if you don't like the results.

However George's is the greatest product and I would never be without it. Keep it in myfridge always!!

  I can't imagine freezing would harm it's efficacy. I don't see how freezing would change it chemically. But just my opinion.
I've been using it for years now, and stored it anywhere from 37-80 deg F. Not had any problems.

  You should check with the maker. Our most recent purchase was mostly frozen when it arrived and seems to be just fine.

  I eo not know if it is whole leaf.It is however the best there is..no bitter taste.u can take it straight from the bottle & drink like water..I tried many brands & Georges is definatly the best!!

  I'm not sure however that does not matter. George's Aloe is distilled, with the finished product containing the pure components of aloe juice. This juice is unlike the regular whole leaf or inner leaf aloe juices you find of the market. Highly recommend it.

  This was highly recommended by my health/vitamin shop owner. It is pure aloe. Don't have to refrigerate...and taste like water.

  I have used this product for years and I have had no issues. I take an ounce every morning. And the Vitamin Shoppe has it priced low, especially when they have a special sale.
