Yes, the Rescue Remedy is safe for cats. (The pet version does not contain alcohol and is more expensive.) The amount of alcohol is minimal and will not harm them. Add three drops to the water bowl, if more than one bowl, add to all water bowls to ensure that the cats are getting Rescue Remedy. I have been using Rescue Remedy for years to calm them for veterinary visits, introducing a new cat to the household and for a cat who has general anxiety. I've seen results in about a week.

  As far as how to use it, I use the Rescue Remedy Pet by putting 4 drops in the cat's food morning and night, and midday I just drip 4 drops onto his mouth (don't try to open his mouth, just drop it on his lips and he swallows it). Not all cats will need it as often, but mine is very high strung.

  This Rescue Remedy is for humans. It is alcohol based so not for animals. They do make a Rescue Remedy Pet, which is not alcohol based, and that is good for cats. I use it with mine. (I get it from Amazon, since Vitamin Shoppe doesn't sell the pet variety.)

  Rescue Remedy is safe for ALL animals. If you can, drop into cat's mouth, if not, then one drop in their water is fine. If they won't drink the water, you can rub a drop onto your finger & rub it around the cat's mouth. Hope that helps you!

  It is safe for cats and dogs. For cats you can put 2 drops in their water or 2 drops on their neck where they can't lick because it contains alcohol. Very effective for travel or going to the vets.

  Bach makes one specifically for pets, including cats. If it were me, I'd look for that one since cats have sensitivities to things we humans don't.
