This is an amino acid, and though I'm not sure how it works exactly, it has been a godsend for my husband who was having severe panic attacks (and often). These are chewable which means the gaba gets into the bloodstream much faster than a pill -- they are also delicious. I use it at nighttime when I'm stressed-out and know that I won't sleep. Both my husband and I chew a few during the day when work becomes stressful. There is no drowsiness or side effects of any kind that we've experienced.   I have found this to be very useful for my nervousness and anziety. I have a husband who is a quadriplegic and often his care leaves me quite anxious because I am very conscientious about him. I pair it with a Bach remedy lozenge or alone and it is helpful to calm my nerves. I do not know if it works for irritability because I do not have problems out of the ordinary with that.   Pharmagaba is such a relief to me when I feel irritated. I take it then about 15 to 30 minutes later I'm in a whole different state and feeling much better.

  I don't take it often, only when extremely stressed. I feel it helps me very much. I sometimes feel I cant take it when I work my mind gets a little foggy when I do. so I try to take it when I go home or on weekends. U can take it during the day. I would recommend this product when you are going through a rough period in Life and it does relax me. I don't like the one made with sorbitol so I make sure I don't have that ingredient in it . You must read label or ask customer service like I did. Sorbitol upsets my stomach. Not everyone has that problem but I do. It s very helpful because its not additive.   It does truly calm one down. If I am feeling stressed or anxious, a couple of Pharmagaba make me calmer and less stressed. I also use it to help relax before bed to help myself fall asleep more easily. I cannot comment on the extreme irritability as I have not experienced that myself and only use it to distress and relax. I have recommended it to several friends and colleagues and they have all said it works for them too.

Pharma Gaba does not actually put you to sleep but it is very good at relaxing you and therefore creates the necessary condition for sleep - tranquillity. I found it to do this very well and I would recommend it if you are having trouble sleeping Take it about 1 hour before bedtime.

  If fear of panic attacks in the night disturb your sleep, or if you have a lot of anxiety at night, it can definitely help.

  I don't think it's strong enough to lull you to sleep, but I do sleep more soundly when I take it.
