Just GABA. Science has found out about the benefits of GABA, so they add it to other supplements and pharmacueticals...they even add GABA to makeup! I have been taking GABA for about 20 years. Hope this helps your daughter.

  You shouldn't be giving this to a child anyway. A child will not be able to effectively communicate side effects of a drug/supplement.

  I have broken them in half before with no problem. Since it is an amino acid I see no reason why you could not crush it. It is a wonderful product and helps me very much.

  I've cut mine in half before. I's hard to swallow that way. If you want a lower dose, Solgar makes 500mg capsules that work very well.

  When you take a vitamin it is to build up viamins/minerals or in this case a amino that you dont get enough of. Gaba is a amino that people fall short of. So you take it to build up your level, Its not like a medication that only last 4-12 hrs depending on the delivery. So i take it 2xs a day and then take a break. I can tell when i have enough cause i get kind of a flushing feeling similar too the feeling you get when you take niacin but not quite that strong. Im very intuned too what my body needs and you can be too. Listen to your intunition that will help you so much. And take in lots of information on your health but be careful not all is correct thats where your intunition comes in. Ive been studying natural medicine/ healthy living for over 25 years.   Technical aanswer: A couple of hours max. There is a "fast" phase that lasts 30-60 minutes, followed by residual action for another hour or so. I actually take one tablet three times per day.

  It is a non-essential inhibitory amino acid that can indirectly help with anxiety and eventually will reduce your anxiety. It is not the same as taking a sedative for a panic attack, which would work within 20 minutes. GABA gets more at the source in the brain that contributes to you experiencing over-anxiousness.

  Among other things, GABA is involved in the production of Melatonin, which controls sleep cycles. I take GABA during the day and Melatonin before I go to bed.

  GABA was described to me by a doctor for sleep. It helps with relaxation and taken along with calcium citrate I usually never have any trouble falling asleep.

  I doubt you would feel anything from taking this. I believe it has to cross the blood brain barrier to feel effects which I don't think this does.
