Love the product, but...
I love this product and have been using it for years, but this last time I ordered Vitamin Shoppe wouldn't let me order the larger bottle online. I'd have to go to the store to get it. Not happy, especially in this day and age. Why, Vitamin Shoppe, why?

good product
I'm lactose intolerant and it is very hard to find calcium that works for me. I have tried a lot of different brands with no luck. Two months ago I decided to try these as a recommendation of one of the Assistant Manager at Vitamin Shoppe. At first, I was skeptical but then I decided to try it. So far, I'm very happy-no stomach pain or gas :D. My nails and my hair are growing really healthy. I hope it is also doing good for my bones. The only reason that I'm giving 4 stars is because I emailed Solaray before opening the bottle asking some questions about the product and they NEVER replied.

Great product
I must now take 1200 mg Calcium and varying amounts of Vit D so I'm so happy this product is only Calcium and not mixed with other vitamins so I may control what I need. Thank you. I did learn later it's best to divide up the portions verses taking all at once to ensure absorption. Morning and evening. I've taken these for 8 months now and an added benefit is stronger nails! As well as Calcium. Female, 54 yrs.

Hi. I have hypoparathyroidism... so I have to take 1800 mg three times a day. I just had bariatric surgery and cannot take pills. I really need to know if you place these in water, will they dissolve. I have bought 4 bottles of calcium citrate and they do not dissolve in water. I use to buy Calcium Citrate 630mg from Spring Valley and it dissolved so fast and it was not like sand going down. I need someone to tell me if this will dissolve in water and not need a hammer to crush them. Thanks a great deal and I appreciate it very much. (and this website MADE me put my address and personal information JUST so i could ask you this question :( :( )?

Best Answer:  I also had bariatric surgery and was advised to take the Calcium Citrate chewable. It is much easier to take without having to swallow so many pills and vitamins. I take the 1000 mg and natural orange flavor from Solaray.

I am trying to find the best calcium CAPSULE or SOFTGEL with taking the least amount of capsules per day to get 1200 mg? I am age 65. I have a problem with ACID REFLUX and wonder if this product by Solaray (Calcium Citrate 1000 mg) would add to my acid reflux problem. I take 40mg of omeprazole each morning.
