Best Answer:  Magnesium Citrate means, Magnesium is bound to citric acid (as naturally occurring in lemons).
Magnesium maleate means, Magnesium is bound to malic acid (Apfelsaeure) as naturally occurring in apples.
Both, Mag. Citrate and Mag maleate are easily, well absorbed when taken orally. Uptake of both is better than uptake of Magnesium oxide or Magnesium carbonate.

Best Answer:  I take magnesium citrate for muscle and heart health. Citrate is better absorbed than oxide. I've been taking it for years. I don't know why you want to take it so I can't say if it works or not. If you don't have any health issues whereby you shouldn't be taking extra magnesium (talk with a nutritionist and/or doctor) then I'd consider it.

Best Answer:  The pills are very large, but they do have some type of coating to help with swallowing. If you can't swallow large pills, I would not recommend them!
