Check/weigh the powder the scoop gives you
Easy to use and dissolves easily in all liquids so far. The scoop provided is nice but the scoop seems to hold about 4.5 grams when the dosage is supposed to be 6 grams. I measured several times scooping out the powder then leveling the top off with a knife. Then weighed just the powder. The highest powder only weight I could get was 4.5 grams and a looser powder scoop was 4.0. If you have a digital kitchen scale that offers a gram setting, you might check your scoops to be sure you are not shorting your dose. (I had checked my scale against known weights, so I don't think my scale is off.)

Stick with it!
So far, so good. Does have a slight taste when mixed with water. Has helped my joints and nails. Still waiting for the hair benefits to kick in. Will buy again.

I originally purchased the collagen to restore collagen in my face/neck as I age. My fingernails have definitely grown and are much stronger since taking the collagen. I really like the effects this has on my fingernails. It mixes well with good strong shakes in my bottle. I will definitely continue to purchase & use it.

Best Answer:  It is a Bovine which is animal. A lot of research that I have done has shown that Collagen from seafood, a.k.a. fish is not as effective as you don’t know what type of fish or where it came from.

Best Answer:  It can be added to coffee, but unfortunately it is not a good idea to add collagen to coffee because coffee/caffeine has a tendency to dilute vitamins and supplements. Research shows that vitamins and supplements are not as effective when taken before, after or with coffee and or prescription medications. Expert advice suggests that we wait at least one hour in-between. For example, take vitamins and supplements with water and mix collagen powder in 2-4 ounces of organic orange juice. Wait at least one hour before you drink coffee or take medication. Collagen powder works best when taken on an empty stomach. This unflavored Vitamin Shoppe brand mixes well in orange juice. You can search my answers online.
