High quality ingredients and no smell.

They don't have that fishy smell that other cod liver oil products have. the capsules are easy to swallow and don't stick to the back of your mouth. They are 3rd party tested and certified by multiple agencies which is a huge deal, backing the claims they make about the quality of their product. Excellent value considering the source of the ingredients; not all cod liver oil is made to the same standards and it is very noticeable!

The best Omega-3

Cod liver oil seems to be the best way to get omega-3. Non-GMO with EPA, DHA, and vitamin D3. Wild caught Arctic Cod. Comes from an FDA regulated facility. I used cod liver oil in part along with additional supplements and better eating habits to lower my triglyceride levels by 44% in 6 months! This is a safe supplement to take regularly and my understanding is that most people do not get enough omega-3 in their diet.

This is a supplement my mom gave me as a child. It is so beneficial because it's such a rich source of omega 3s a vital polyunsaturated fat. This is necessary for brain development and as we age brain health .
Carlson is a superior brand because of their commitment to sustainability and good environmental stewardship. I love that they aren't creating unnecessary waste from their production or packaging . I appreciate their commitment to third party testing for mercury in their fish oils. I…

Cod Liver Oil Gems

I have been taking Cod Liver for years for the memory etc etc. but a different brand and that one worked also, I purchased Carlson because it came in a bigger size , the delivery was super fast and the cod liver seems to be a little higher quality then the other brand I have been taking. I will definitely stay with Carlson on my purchases going forward for the next many years.

Does this product contain shell fish?

  Well, one must trust the manufacturer or not buy the product.
The manufacturer's label states that it contains 1000 mg. of cod liver oil with other ingredients being soybean oil, soft shell gel beef gelatin, glycerin and water. It states further "ContaIns fish (cod)."
As there is no mention of shellfish anywhere on the label, unless the manufacturer is blatantly lying, it does not contain shellfish.

Concern about the beef gelatin in this product, does anyone know what kind of beef they are using, is it hormone/antibiotic free?

  Sorry but I have no idea. It never occurred to me to ask. I have been all over the Carlson Labs website and can find no information about the beef gelatin that they use. I suspect a direct question to the manufacturer is the only way to find out.

  Shellfish does not show up on the ingredients list. That is one of the reasons why I take them. Carlson has a very good reputation.
