Sam-e for my dog
I?m using this for my dog which has Valley Fever. He is currently on Fluconazole, Olive Leaf, Milk Thistle and Sam-e. He is doing much better with the regimen he is on.

Too high a price?
I could feel the difference when I did or didn't take
my Sam-E but in the store I was shocked at the price.I ran all over town when it was on a rare sale. The

V-shop brand is affordable enough I can up my dose till the days lengthen again. No difference in quality.

I hope it works!
I began taking this product over 15 years ago due to my inherited osteoarthritis and the pain it caused me on long runs. The mood improving effect may be responsible for most benefits, but the end result is that I could run and work out. I noticed the difference in my endurance and enthusiasm during times when I was without this supplement due to not being able to obtain it. I can't attribute any earth-shaking effects to this supplement, but it has been useful as a part of my total diet. during times of severe stress I have taken 800mg/day and seen a boost in my energy and tolerance for adverse situations.

Does this cause stomach problems?

Best Answer:  I've found it only causes problems (nausea) if taken with food of any substantial sort; as such, I take it directly upon waking. 20-30 minutes later food seems fine. Main issue I have noticed is a decreased appetite; not a huge one, only noticeable in a gym rat most likely! Just have it on an empty stomach and relatively early in the day and you shouldn't have any problems.

Does Vitamin Shoppe's sam-e contain mannitol (gives me stomach pain)? I didn't see it in the ingredients list but wanted to double check.

Best Answer:  The only brand, until I did my source couple years ago, that no use mannitol is this brand, it's why I choose this brand.

Best Answer:  As far as I can determine there is no mannitol. There would be no reason to include a high molecule sugar in the formulation. It is not listed on the label. Usually enteric coated tablets are protein coated to disintegrate in the duodenum.

In my case, no.
I did realize when it came time to address other things that were making me feel unwell, however. Hormone cream, better nutrition, apple cider vinegar, and some simple yoga/exercise.. along with few mins reading C.H.Spurgeon in the morning, work for me at the moment. The Sam-E helped when I needed it, for sure.. But I have to adjust time to time what works as my body ages. Best wishes!

Best Answer:  SAMe is known for its use in mood elevation (the opposite of depression). I can't speak to anxiety. Try L-theanine for anxiety.
