Would prefer if it was cleaner
Would prefer just glycerin (flax) in the cellulose capsules. This formulation contains MCT (medium chain triglycerides), magnesium stearate and silica.

Worked great
Took away repetitive stress in my fingers from playing a string instrument and used for a year plus with symptoms never coming back. Tried other kinds (fancier) but this worked better so returned to it. Took 1 900mg cap twice a day for a week or two to start with then went down to 1/day.

Good turmeric but capsules leak
The capsules leak. I have to wash my hands every time I touch a capsule or I end up with yellow marks everywhere I touch.

Bioavailability of curcumin seems to always be the biggest challenge for positive health benefits. Have any of you compared the effectiveness of this product to others that claim to be created with a micronization process and a binding with turmeric essential oils that boost absorption/bioavailability? I'm specifically thinking about BCM-95-based products. Thank you!

Best Answer:  Yes, I have made the comparison, and I prefer CuraMed from Terry Naturally. This product contains 500 mg of curcuminoids per softgel and has superior absorption. It is one with turmeric essential oils, and does boost absorption. I have tried both and CuraMed works better for me.

CURCUMIN C3 COMPLEX?

Experiencing severe joint pain in hips and shoulders only. Read that turmeric helps but can take up to 8 weeks before feeling any results. Wondering if others have same type of pain and whether this is good product or suggest something else?

Best Answer:  I will NOT live without turmeric. Have hip joint problems and it keeps the pain level manageable. I notice within 2 days when I don't take it, but it helps within 1 day as soon as I take it again. Been taking so long that I don't remember how long it took before feeling results. At almost 70, I've noticed that the brain is sharp again also, and just saw a report that it is good for that.
Also use White Willow (VS Brand) when pain is high. Works like aspirin without causing ringing of the ears

Best Answer:  Below are the noted safety concerns of using Curcumin (turmeric) according to the NIH (National Institute of Health):

Special precautions & warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Taking turmeric by mouth in medicinal amounts is LIKELY UNSAFE in pregnancy. It might promote a menstrual period or stimulate the uterus, putting the pregnancy at risk. Don’t take turmeric if you are pregnant.

There isn’t enough information to rate the safety of turmeric during breast-feeding. It’s best not to use it.

Gallbladder problems: Turmeric can make gallbladder problems worse. Don’t use turmeric if you have gallstones or a bile duct obstruction.

Surgery: Turmeric might slow blood clotting. It might cause extra bleeding during and after surgery. Stop using turmeric at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
