Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds Liquid Cleaner is not a soap but instead is a concentrated hard-surface all-purpose cleaner. It is made with plant-based surfactants and natural fir needle and spruce essential oils (no cheap, harsh pine stump oil), without any synthetic dyes, fragrances or preservatives. Perfect for general household cleaning (dishes, floors, laundry, etc.), it cleans and rinses with exceptional power, yet it is mild and gentle on the skin. Sal Suds Liquid Cleaner is equally effective in hard or soft water, rinsing freely, hot or cold. Directions

1. All-Purpose Household Cleaning Spray: 1 Tbsp. per quart of water; spray & wipe with damp cloth. Use to clean stone countertops & tile, sinks, toilets, stainless steel, plastics, painted & sealed wood surfaces (not waxed)—anything that can be washed! 2. Laundry: 2–3 Tbsp. per large load (half for HE machines); apply undiluted to stains. 3. Handwashing Delicates: ½ Tbsp. per gallon of water. Let soak 10 minutes. Rinse. 4. Dishes: A few drops on a dishcloth or 1 drop per pot. A small squirt washes a sinkful. Not for use in dishwasher. 5. Mopping: ½ Tbsp. in approximately 3 gallons of hot water. 6. Fruits & Veggies Rinse: 1 drop in a bowl of water. 7. Pressure Washer & Carpet Cleaner: 1 drop mixed with water in cleaning solution compartment. 8. Exterior Windows: ½ tsp. in a quart of water. Spray & squeegee. Follow with a spray of pure club soda, or half vinegar & half water, and squeegee. 9. Patio Furniture: ½ Tbsp. per gallon of water. No need to rinse. 10. Car Washing & Large Jobs: ½ Tbsp. per 3 gallons of water.

This product is wonderful and packaging was awesome this time!!!
I love Sal Suds for just about everything around my house. I use it for washing dishes, clothes, floor everything except bodies. It is the only soap we need. I especially use it because I'm allergic to Propylene glycol and that is in almost all other cleaners under various names or not even listed.
A big point to my latest delivery, a big thank you!!! to whoever packed it for doing such a great job. The bottles were did not have broken caps this time and nothing was leaking.

Love it!
I love that this product is made with natural ingredients and is healthier than most detergents. I use this to make my dishwashing soap and to clean grease surfaces in my kitchen. It cuts grease well, much better than Castile soap (which I also love for other uses). I only wish they made a larger version of it to help cut plastic use and costs, but it?s not too bad. I order it every 4 months or so.

Best Answer:  It is sudsy. In a HE washer, I use less than recommended. I certaining would not use it in my dishwasher. I do love it and use it all the time to wash floors, clothes, carpets, etc. I also use it (a couple drops of Sal Suds and distilled water) to make an all purpose spray. You could also add a couple drops of essential oil to add a fragrance.

How would you use this to clean an outdoor deck? Is it simply sprayed on and hosed off or is scrubbing or power washing needed? I want easy as possible and safe for nearby bushes.

Best Answer:  It's a surfactant (soap), not a chemical. So depending upon what you're cleaning it may take some scrubbing or a power washer. It's quite concentrated, so you don't need to use very much. It's biodegradable and will not damage foliage.
