I drink it at night before I go to bed, with "results" first thing in the morning. This is what works best for me because it keeps me full before bed to stop my urge to snack and it gets me... err, moving in the morning. Hope that helps. -JLB

  I have it in every morning with my Raw green drink, mixed in a blender bottle or blender and then every night for 3 days I have a scoop with my protein shake. I skip a day.

  After any meal. Any psyllium can be hard on an empty stomach. I drink it mixed in 12 oz. of water everyday after breakfast and I really like this product.

  I enjoy this product mixed into drinks, sprinkled on food, or baked into bread any time of the day. Fiber is good for you any time!

  I have found that BEFORE the meal works best.. but everyone is different. Try it before and after to find your best results.

I mix it with about 12 ounces of liquid,half oj half water and I drink it down fast. This particular brand seems to be lighter than others I have used. It does not thicken up quite as much or as quickly.
Do not let it sit for any amount of time before drinking it down!

  I have taken it quite a while. I mix it in about 8 ounces of water and drink it all at once. Don't let it sit too long before drinking or it does get "gel like" and harder to drink. I also will drink about 4 ounces of water or juice afterwards.

  I have been usoing this product for a long time and I never had any problem. I make a drink so I put 8ozs water with it.

  First, I've used the capsules for years, and even with GERD related difficulty swallowing, I've never had a problem with them. I think the warning is just the producer covering all bases. I take two at a meal and swallow them down with a normal gulp of water. I go on to finish a 16 oz glass with the meal, but only in sips.

But, as to the whole husk - it's a different thing entirely. It's like a powder (not exactly) that you mix into a beverage. While it doesn't dissolve exactly like a powder would, it is still very easy to swallow. You'd know that there was something in your drink, but nothing that would cause a problem.

I prefer the caps, but have used both with no difficulty.

  I have used whole husk psyllium in my smoothies for many years and never had any trouble swallowing it. I don't have much trouble swallowing capsules with plenty of water but did not want to just mix the psyllium husks in water and drink it. I just add it to my morning vegan protein smoothie with other fruit. It does thicken the smoothie slightly if that is how you will be consuming that product but there is no flavor added to my smoothie with the psyllium husks.

It definitely adds fiber to your diet and will facilitate bowel movements.

I have been using this Phyllium for a while and I have never had any problems. I do mix it with glass of water and drink it right away. If it gets alittle thick I just add water. I also add a little bit of OJ to add flavor. It is not something you can let sit around since it does swell up. I hope this helps.

  You need to mix plenty of water with the powder or it will be hard to swallow because it gets thick quickly. I put a tablespoon or two of the psyllium in about a cup of water (mixed with a little juice for better taste), stir it well and drink it before it gets thick. Then follow with another glass of water. Hope this helps!

  I usually put a heaping teaspon of psyllium into a full glass of water and stir briskly and drink quickly. I have no problem swallowing it, as long as it is mixed with a lot of water. I even drink a glass of plain water afterwards.

  I have had no problem with this at all. I take one very big scoop in a smoothie. I gather from other sites that some may have a problem, so start small and then make a determination. Whatever you do, drink plenty of water.

  I have no problem swallowing the product. I have been using a heaping teaspoon in about 10 oz of water and mixing quickly and drinking the whole glass quickly. Then following up with about 5 oz of water as a chaser.

  I have been using the powder for a couple of years now. It turns jelly like when water is added but is easy to swallow. Hope that helps

  We dissolve a tbsp in water and it goes down no problem

  If you drink it right away it does not get thick, but if you wait a while it gets thick like gel...too thick to drink. I put it in my smoothie in the morning or add it to my oatmeal. It is very filling and the full feeling lasts a long time.

  Have not used it directly as a thickener but acts like one when I add to my cat's wet can food for the purpose of adding fiber to push out any ingested hair in order to minimize throwing up hairballs. This product is like very small shreds when dry, immediately softens upon contact with water or wet food. To the cat food I add about 1/2 tsp to not change the food's consistency too much.

  It is not whole seeds, but not quite ground-up powder either. It's more like broken-up light pieces of husk. It does not dissolve quickly, rather I think it expands slowly in liquid. I mix it in coconut water, let it thicken, and sip the mixture slowly throughout the day to keep myself full. Quite delicious!

  It is not a powder, it will definitely act as a thickener, but not in the way you want. It becomes very thick and gelatinous if not consumed quickly.

  It is a rough ground powdered product. It would work well as a thickener.
